Necklaces

So happy you all are enjoying the new ribbed beads and the colors. I appreciate the orders and comments. I made 4 new necklaces on Saturday that features some of the colors. Hope this helps spark some ideas. I will add these to my website.

Rundown of my day yesterday... made beads yesterday morning before leaving to go teach p.e at the elementary. I have never done pe before, so wasn't sure what I was getting myself in to. It actually was super fun. We worked on basketball handling skills then jumped rope. The kids thought I must have been a basketball player with my skills and I "outjumped" the kids seeing who could jump rope longer ~ a nice boost to my ego ;) (although I am paying for it today with my sore arms) Came home and the sun was out!!!! I think it has been 2 weeks since we have seen the sun. So I hurried up to grab some shots of the beads I have been dying to show you. The pics are ok for now, but I still want to get some better shots. I have a few of them added, but have about 7 more to add along with some focals. Doing the photo shoot took time out of running to the city to get groceries, then a friend called for supper, and a teacher called for me to sub TODAY, blah, blah. Anyway, the weekend will be more low key. We have the school winter carnival to go to which the kids always look forward to. I get to call out Bingo numbers in the library :)

Back to beads, I will let you know when I have them all posted. I am also going to have a contest for you to show your jewelry for a chance to win a BIG gift certificate. How does that sound?

Bead Soup

This is my first year participating in the Bead Soup Blog Party. The idea behind it is you are paired with a partner, then you put together a grouping of beads that includes a toggle and focal and send it to your partner, then they do the same. Here is Lori's blog, the lady who organizes it. There is a tab at the top to click on for the Bead Soup Blog. There also is a Flickr group to see pictures of what people are receiving. I was in such a hurry to get my package sent off I forgot to take a picture. I am so bummed!!!! I do see that my partner posted a picture of what I sent, and she sent an email letting me know she got it. It is Melanie from Earthenwood Studio. She makes wonderful ceramic jewelry and beading components. I have made a wish list from her site often, but not ordered yet. Can't wait to see what I get in a couple days. Then on February 26th, which is reveal day, we all post on out blog what we made with the goodies we received. All the blogs are listed and you go from blog to blog seeing what everyone made. Can't wait to see the designs.

Dog Blog

I have a few pictures to show of our little pup. The last thing I want though is for this to become a "dog blog" so if that starts to happen, please let me know!!! She is just too cute not to share pictures of.

This 1st one is of Nala being introduced to Apollo, Justin's sister's Great Dane. The meeting went very well and Apollo was great with her. She was fearless with him and kept nipping at her and running.

I bought her a bed to sleep on. She has made her little sleeping getaway in our front door closet, so I thought I would buy her a comfy little bed to sleep on instead of our coats. As you can see from the picture below, I think she still needs help figuring out how to "use" it. ;)

Bent beads

Working on lots of things, just have to find the time to organize and share with you all. I am in the process of adding bent beads to my website. They are not there yet, just a heads up of what is to come soon. Just got back from the dentist, yuck! It was just a check up, no biggie, but I still have a hard time with even that. I will be back in a bit...

Sun come out

You guys, I am going crazy. I have some great new ribbed beads made in some wonderful colors and have been waiting for the sun for the last week to get some good pictures. Yesterday it peaked out and I was SOOO excited. Got all my stuff set up and back under the clouds it went. I might just have to take them with an overcast, but it just doesn't show the sparkle and color. Not sure how many more days I can wait ;(

Here is a picture of our puppy. She is growing so fast. When we got her and took her to the vet she weighed 3.4 lbs. We took her last week and she was up to 5.6. We are taking her to get groomed on Saturday. Kind of sad about it because I LOVE all this fluffy hair. She will look so different. I told the kids that I think I do LOVE her. The reason I knew it was because last week she got a shot. The next day she just laid around the house, didn't play and had no energy. I really bothered me so I called the vet and they said it can happen in a little puppy after a shot. I was worried something might be wrong and thought if something would happen to her I would cry. THAT is how I knew I loved her ;) For someone who did not want a dog, I am enjoying her!

OK, think I got all the boro sets online. Some have even sold already ~ thank you!!!! I added links to the previous post as well. Here are some new ones. Will try to get the nugget focals added later, although the kids are home today from school, so not sure how far I will get ;) For sure over the weekend though.

revamping the website

Yeah!!! Finally some new beads! I have about 6 sets in boro and 2 sets of the etched with fine silver wire. Yesterday I worked on inventorying my website, seeing what I have still and what has not been photographed and added to my website. I was surprised at how much I have that is not on there. I think I have about 15 boro sets to add and probably 30 nugget focals yet to be added. Yesterday was a bright sunny day, so I got some pictures taken, just need to edit and add them online. Here is a sneak peak...

Still here...

Oh boy, it's been too long!!! Starting to get back in the swing of things. Made some boro sets over the weekend and hope to have pictures and get them on the website soon.

We are enjoying our new little puppy, she is growing so fast! Will get some pictures of her too.

Just a quick little note to let you know I am still here and still making beads. I am working on inventory and updating my website and SOON will have some fresh new sets.
