I am happy to inform you that I am doing fine after ice skating.  That's actually because I never got to put the skates on.  We had about 110 children, all in Kindergarten, 1st and 2nd grade.  We got to the ice arena, got the kid's skates on and onto the ice they go.  I walk to the rink, trying to decide if I really want to try this.  It was quiet comical looking out at the children trying to make their way around the rink.  I need to go through and edit the pictures.  I hope I got a few good ones.  I would take a picture and 15 or so children would be in the picture ~ 2 standing up on the skates, all the others down on the ice.  

The reason I never got skates on was because we kind of had a few injuries with the kids that I was helping with.  An adult who was skating said the ice was extra slick that day.  One of the injuries on the kids was kind of serious, so that kind of did it for me.  Maybe another day... Sorry to disappoint, but no one was more disappointed then my daughter.  She was so excited to see me on skates.  Will see if I have some pictures to share...

A few new designs in some bright colors.  I made some more yesterday that turned out pretty fun as well.  I am teaching at the girls school the next 2 days, so no blog posts.  Tomorrow morning the lower grades are going ice skating.  That should be interesting.  I have never been ice skating before, but what a better time to give it a whirl than with 1st and 2nd graders.  Wish me luck!

Here are some of the new boro sets I have been working on.  I bought a tutorial from Catherine Ondrey on using different colors.  So I ordered some new glass and started playing around.  I love the look of beads that aren't perfectly round.  Seems like that would be easy yo make, but surprisingly it wasn't.  I worked too hard to make them look "natural" but it was fun.  Please let me know what you think and if you like the shapes (which of these sets it your favorite?).  I need feedback to know what you guys like and what I should make.  I will pick a lucky winner who will win some beads.

Family Pictures

I have been meaning to share these for awhile now and since I don't have any beads to show you at the moment I thought this would be a great day to post them.  We had our family pictures taken last fall, the first time we have ever done that.  I really don't like my picture taken, but I sucked it up and did it anyway!  They turned out terrific and I was super happy with them.  I good friend of mine, Sarah, took the pictures.  You can check out her website The Locket

Bent Beads
