New Flowers

I noticed the other day that I didn't have many flowers to choose from anymore, so that was what I have worked on the last 2 days.  I made about 5 more today, so hopefully I can get them photographed soon.

I also added a couple more shows to my line-up.  On November 8th I will be doing a trunk show in Bettendorf at Your Design.  Then on November 14th and 15th I will be having my open house here at my shop in Wellman.  

Well my torch is all taken apart, so no more beads for me.  We have everything ready to be taken over to the Kalona Fall Festival for the show this weekend, well actually Friday and Saturday.  I did remember that I hadn't shown these new curved beads yet.   Have a great weekend and I'll be back on Monday.

Boro earring cubes

This is  a fun new shape to work with.  The cubes were made out of boro and encased in clear.  They measure 14mm and were made on a 3/32nd mandrel.  I just added all 9 pairs to my website.

Jewelry Time

I have the Kalona Fall Festival this weekend, so have been working on some new jewelry pieces.  This is always a fun weekend because I get to take my torch and demonstrate how I make the beads.  The other plus is the great food!!!!

New stuff

Wanted to show you a new necklace that I made with one of the focal's I held back for myself.

I worked on something new yesterday.  Here are some boro cubes.  2 of them measure 14mm and 1 16mm.  Could be used for a necklace, or a pendant and a pair of earrings.  I have 4 different designs I will try to add to the website later.  Would love to hear your thoughts!  Please take a little time and let me know if you think they are nice shapes and worth making.

Still a few more...

I just added a few more focals to the website.  I didn't picture them all here though.  I kept a couple for me and an making necklaces out of them.  Will post them here for you when I get done.  The 2nd and 3rd ones are made out of some fun new glass.  Turned out to be great colors!  Off to make some more beads...

New necklace

Here are a couple necklaces that I made up for the show in Wisconsin.  I received so many compliments (and requests to post them on my website so they can look at them for reference to make their own)  I added the topaz focal bead to the store.

A couple new silver bead styles added to the website as well.

New favorite sets

I think these might be some of my favorite sets ever.  I can't wait to make some jewelry myself with these beads.  So many colors to pull out of these first to sets of beads, and they could go with either gold or silver.  The last 2 sets I think are pretty fun as well.  The blue is so bright and vibrant.  That is a set that looks much better in person.  I will get these added to the website soon.

Back Home

We made it back home safely.  I know I have shown you my set-up for shows before, but thought I would show again for new people who haven't seen it.  This was my set up at the bead store.  I met a lot of wonderful people and had a lot of fun!!!  Thanks to everyone who came out and bought beads from me.  I would love to see any pictures of jewelry you make!!!

The kids had a great time as well.  Here are a few pictures of them jumping on the beds.  They were purely doing this for picture purpose, I wouldn't let me do it otherwise ;)  On Saturday they went to the Cave of the Mounds and really enjoyed that.  On Sunday Justin took them to the Henry Vilas Zoo and they got to see some animals they hadn't seen at some other zoos. They didn't want to leave they were having such a good time.





I will have some new bead sets in the next couple days, along with a couple new designs of silver beads.
