Lorri's Necklaces

Hope you had fun looking at all the bead soup entries over the weekend. I still have about half to look at yet. It was just so much fun to see what everyone did with what they were sent. I am a little embarrassed that I just noticed the links on my page don't work. I need to check that out. Might just link to the master list. I appreciate all the comments and glad you like what I did :)

I sent out a newsletter email saying that the deadline for sending in pictures to be in the drawing for one of three $50 gift cards is Sunday evening. This week I expect to receive LOTS of pictures :) Here are some from Lorri. She sent me around 21 pictures of amazing necklaces she made. I love the ideas and think she did a great job with the colors. Check out the rest of them on my facebook fan page. Take a look and leave her a comment.

The Soup is On!!!

Welcome to the 3rd Bead Soup Blog Party!

What is a Bead Soup Blog Party?

Each beader was paired up with another jewelry designer and tasked with sending the following:
~ A focal
~ A special clasp (not just a lobster claw)
~ Some coordinating spacers or beads

Using the focal and the clasp was mandatory, but we could use anything from our own stash to round out the rest, and choose to use the coordinating beads or not.

This is what I received in the mail.

Here's what I made! Hope you like it! I used almost everything she sent me and paired it with some Vintaj brass, beach stones, various random beads and connectors along with a few of my lampwork beads. I wasn't sure what I would do with the charm from Green Girl Studios that had the owl on it, but in my stash I found the owl pendant from Skye Jewels in the same color tones and it was perfect!!! (click on the pictures to make them larger)

Make sure to check out what Melanie made with the beads I sent her. She did a great job and it is so unique. Her blog is here! Come see what the rest of us made! I am number 173 on the list of 201 people who participated and Melanie is number 52. Can't wait to get time later to sit down and see everyone's amazing creations. Thanks for checking out my blog!

Here is the master list. Make sure to check out what others made!

Designs from MJM Designs

So tomorrow is the big Bead Soup Party reveal!!!! I can't wait to share what I made with you. Scroll down to see what I received from Melanie of Earthenwood studios. To be honest when I got it I had NO idea what I was gonna do with them. I have never worked with the "key" theme and something that large. Don't get me wrong, I LOVED it, it was just new to me. Last Saturday I took the whole morning and made a necklace and bracelet that I just adore and can't wait to show you.

Today I want to show you some pieces from Kristen of MJM Designs. Kristen has been a loyal customer for many years now and I have gotten to know her and form a relationship with her over the years. That is so fun to do ;) Her designs are amazing and I love all the extra findings and elements she incorporates into the designs. Here is her facebook fan page and blog (it links to her etsy as well.)

Aren't these great?

More pics

A few more customer photos. The top 2 are from Dianne. Love the springy colors in them. So different and unique.

Love those sparkly donut beads!
Lynn used 18ga, 5/32" copper rings highlighted with 16ga, 5/16" copper rings to made the byzantine pattern chain maille. I haven't seen much chain maille with the lampwork, so I love seeing this. Thanks for sending in the pics ladies.

A little dangerous, but oh what fun!

The last few days have been filled with SNOW, along with most of you I am sure. Here is what the kids decided to do. I saw them out on the deck and I knew Jayla had my camera as she wanted to take pictures of Nala, what I didn't know is what they did as I cleaned up the kitchen until she had me upload the pictures on the camera.

Nala wishing she could go outside and not get lost in the snow.

The girls talked Lukin into letting them bury him.

Here is what I received in the mail over the weekend from Melanie of Earthenwood Studio. I have not worked with components like this before, but am up for the challenge. See my previous post on from last week to see what I am talking about for the Bead Soup Blog Hop. I am so excited to see what everyone makes. I have some beads from Humble Beads and some charms from Green Girl Studios and of course some ceramic findings from Earthenwood studio.
