New boro

I did have these photographed from last week that I forgot I didn't add to the website yet. I just added them, so they are ready to go :)

Someone pointed out to me lots of my curved beads and bent beads are sold out. WOW, they are... I hadn't kept up on that. I have lots of them made, just need to take pictures of them. Will get those updated soon. I am substitute teaching tomorrow for some 3rd graders, so it will probably be on Friday. THANKS for stopping by!

Nothing much...

I don't really have much to show or say today, just wanted to pop in and say THANKS to all who came to the Fall Festival. The weather turned out great and it was a fun time. I have some work I need to do (making name necklaces) and organizing now, but hopefully will have some new beads at the end of the week.

Thursday

A few new beads that I will be adding to the website. I have about 20 new flower beads that I will be adding to the website as well, later.

I am almost ready for the fall festival, although the weather is calling for rain. In the last 7 years or so I have done this show, I don't remember ever having rain. Praying that the weather man is wrong and the rain will hold off on Friday and Saturday.

What do ya think of these?

I have had this press for awhile now, but haven't used it very much because they take so much glass and time. Need your input to know if you would like some on the website. They are pretty cool and I really like the way the necklace turned out. The beads measure 38mm across and 14mm thick.

I added them here

Disks

Here are some disk beads so you can make some earrings like the ones shown below. Click HERE to check them out.

Here is some new pieces of jewelry from the las day. I made some new earrings with some disks (will have some sets up soon on my website) These are totally inspired by Jess from Galena. Then I have a bracelet and earrings, all using Vintaj. The first pair of earrings is gold-filled.

More eye candy

Some more fun jewelry pieces from Jess. This first bracelet I bought because I just loved the way she put it together and thought is was so unique using the ribbon.

This bracelet was made by her mom, Trish. Love those little beads, should make some more.

Last night I had 3 hours to make jewelry while Justin took all the kids with him to Iowa City. Will show some things later.

Bead Kits

When I was at Galena Beads I picked up a few little jewelry necklace kits for the girls to make a necklace. They were so excited to make their necklaces on Monday and wear them to school on Tuesday. I will post a few more pictures of some jewelry Jess made with my beads later ~ lots to do today!

I sent this out in a newsletter yesterday, but I started a Sea of Glass fan page on Facebook. Anyone who joins up today will be entered to win a FREE flower focal bead. So if you have a facebook account please go HERE and sign up for follow my fan page. Have a great day!

Here ya go

I think I might have explained this before, but I will try to explain this setup. This first picture is of myself and Jess Italia-Lincoln. If that name sounds familiar it is probably because you have seen her designs in LOTS of magazines (Stringing, Bead Trends, Beadstyle, to name a few). She is the most amazing jewelry designer (below you will see what I am talking about) She co-owns Galena Beads with her mother (who is the sweetest lady) and Jan (who makes amazing paintings) Then, Jess and another friend, Wendy, started up Vintaj which I am sure you are all familiar with. If not, click on the link and you will be amazed at their designs and products. Vintaj is a wholesale only website, but if you see something in the bracelets or necklaces that I will be posting, the Galena beads website sells individual pieces on their website.

A shot of my table, and WOW is my tablecloth ever crooked. Yikes!
A picture of the outside of the store
A shot of main street all filled with cute little shops
Such a fun store!!! It's clean, organized, big, lots of variety, and tons of jewelry to drool over.
So on Saturday Jess had boughten a FEW beads and came back on Sunday with all this jewelry made. She had stayed up until 1:30 or so making jewelry. I couldn't believe how quick she was. Here are a few pieces she had, are they not the coolest?????? ( The pictures aren't the best, but you can at least see) This necklace was one of my favorites. She had gotten these rocks on Lake Michigan, then she wrapped it with one of Vintaj's butterfly's.
I love how she took beads from all different sets and put them all in one bracelet.

I have a few more pictures that I will share tomorrow, it's time for bed. What cha think??? Pretty fun huh?? Jess, hope I got all that info correct and didn't share too much :)

Back from Galena

What a fun weekend!!!!! You guys are in for a treat as I have some great inspirational photos to show of some jewelry Jess made with my beads. I am trying to get the house back in order, but will be back soon with some photos!
