Face painting

I think I have an "artist" on my hands, or at least she would love to think that. Jayla decided to paint everyone's face the other day. She did a pretty good job, but man it was a pain to get off their faces. We'll see if they agree to do that next time ;) (lukin is a pirate)

Love it!

Had a good time at the Fall Festival. Thanks to all who came out and bought! Saturday was a huge bummer though with it raining ALL day. It was still a good show though. Came home and had a new press waiting in the mail for me. I had a chance to play with it some yesterday and LOVE these beads. Haven't been this excited about a tool in a long time. I can't wait to design with some of these beads. They are so different and unique. I am also expecting some new glass Thursday, but will be getting ready for my show on Saturday in Sun Prairie at Meant to Bead. I am working on some orders today, but hope to have some more sets with this cool shape soon. Have a great Monday!

Fall Festival

Finally some new pieces!!! I will add these nugget beads to the website soon. I also have a few new jewelry pieces. Tonight we will go set up our booth for the Kalona Fall Festival, then I will be there tomorrow 9-9 and Saturday 9-5. I will have my torch and will be doing demonstrations. Hope some of you can make it! Have a great weekend!

How to go on...

So sorry for the absence. Last week was a whirlwind, not even really knowing what day it is. We had the visitation and funeral of our 22 year old nephew and lots of time with family. Now time to start a new week (even though it is Wednesday) and try to move on.

Don't have a lot new right now. I am getting ready for the Kalona Fall Festival, where I will be taking my torch and doing demonstrations. Then next Saturday I will be doing a trunk show at Meant to Bead in Sun Prairie Wisconsin.

So sad!!!

I come to write today with a heavy heart. Our 24 old nephew Addison passed away this last weekend. He was struggling with the effects from cancer. You can read a little of his story on the caringbridge website here... I was going to write about my week last week, my upcoming week, what all I have going on, etc. but is all seems so minimal right now. Words can not express how sad we are right now and all the questions we have. I am not sure what my week will hold, so this will probably be my only post for the week. I am getting the last of the orders shipped out today. Hope you all enjoyed your beads from the sale. Have a good week and don't take anything for granted!
