Concert tonight :)

Wow, it's been awhile. Crazy how days go by, can't believe it is almost November. I have been crazy busy getting ready for my last trunk show AND my open house on the 13th. Trying to make some new things like rings and glass tile pendants. Will show pictures of those later. Today I have some boro beads to show you.

I am off to a concert tonight and so excited. I am taking the 2 older girls to see Toby Mac, Third Day, Michael W. Smith and speaker Max Lucado. What a lineup huh??? Hope I can get some good pics to show you. Have a great Wednesday!

New jewelry AND featured Designer!!!!

Here are a few new pieces of jewelry I have been working on. I have been wanting to design with some of the new ribbed beads and finally made some time and did it. Love the unique-ness of them.

I finally got all my supplies and tools to make some rings and here is my first attempt. I really like it and have so many ideas for some more. I am getting ready for my open house and think these will be a great addition. Just finished my postcard and ordered them from vistaprint. Crazy to think it is that time of year again!!

New Ribbed Beads

Hope everyone is having a great week!!! I am super busy getting ready for my trunk show this weekend at Bead Haven in Cedar Rapids. I will be there Friday night from 4-7 and on Satruday at 10. Not sure how long I will be there, probably 3 or so. It is Lukin's birthday that day so I need to get home and ready for his bday party!!!! What a fun, busy weekend. My intentions last night was to make lots of beads after the kids were in bed. Well, that didn't happen. I was so moved and intrigued by those miners being rescued in Chili. Isn't that wonderful?!?! When that first guy came up and saw his crying little boy, totally made me cry. Hope the next few days are so successful for them and all are rescued!

So much to do...

YEAH!!! Out of 40 sets I only have 16 left. That is wonderful. All orders are shipped (except a few that i emailed you about) so you should have them by the weekend to play ;)

OK, so today when I was subbing I was thinking how much I have to do... Need to make postcards for my open house, I have a show next weekend that I have LOTS to get ready for, getting all these orders shipped out, making some more jewelry for my open house, work on updating website, and the list goes on. Panic set in, BUT I thought I am only teaching Friday this week and next week I don't have any subbing dates and if I get asked I will just have to say it doesn't work because of all I have to do. As I am thinking this in my head in walks a teacher and asks if I could sub tomorrow afternoon. What comes out of my mouth??? "Of course I can sub for you!" What, did I just say that. YES I DID!!! I can't say no! Oh well, it will all work out and I will get my beads made. ;)

I have shown this necklace before, but now I have the bead for sale. I had several compliments this last weekend at the trunk show and many wondered if I had that bead for sale. At the time I didn't, but know I do.

WOW, thanks to all of you for helping me clear out the boro sets. It was great to see all the ordered coming in yesterday. I got almost all of them shipped out, with the others going out today. I have several emails that I need to answer and will get to those later.

Wanted to show you a bracelet that Jess from Vintaj made using on of my lampwork beads and Vintaj findings. She embossed on the leaf blanks. How beautiful is that???? Click on the link to be taken to the website to find materials.

I added a couple etched sets to the website (thanks Jessica for buying "Dusky" at the show ;) I think they are great for fall, although not the typical fall colors.

Great way to Start the week!

Getting ready to send out a newsletter. Here is what it says...

Just getting back from a great show in Sun Prairie, WI. Thanks so
much to everyone who came! Now I need to inventory my beads and
update my website. In the process of packing for my show, I came
across a bag of beads that had several (40 sets to be exact) of boro
beads. I hate that they are just sitting here, although I do have 4
more shows and could probably put them on display and sell them.
First though, I am going to offer them online. I just spent the
evening uploading the pictures and put them in a special category of
Boro Specials. Most of the sets retail for around $50 and you can
save up to $20 a set. This is a great deal and is first come, first
serve.
